CARDI B. #1...FOR REAL??

Imagine growing up on an island, surrounded by all your people, but yet still diversified enough to be considered culture, because of the multitude of other representations. Well, the Bronx better yet New YorK City does just that! The food, music, pigeons, curry and Cardi B!

Cardi B was first introduced to most through their TV screens on a famous show called, "LOVE AND HIP HOP NEW YORK." Her weird, loud, honest and over the top personality won us completely over. But, that was not the first time this big ball of energy spoke her mind! She did this everyday on her Instagram page. Her videos talk about politics, working hard for everything you want, getting a dude to wife you, at that education is KEY. Being shy was not Cardi's weakness.

Starting off as a stripper, blessing us with her voice alls while dropping gems on social platforms, it was evident she was destined to be a star. Cardi new she was more than just a body and quick words, she is an ARTIST.

Dropping mix-tapes, singles and videos. Capitalizing on her overnight fame from #LAHHNY, Cardi new how to take that and make a serious coin alls while connecting with her fans and doing what she loved in the process...

A year or two later and Cardi B with her smash hit Bodak Yellow, and beating out all the competition and breaks records to become the first solo female rapper to top the singles chart since my idol LAURYN HILL, 19 years ago!!

Some may call her a one hit wonder, a fluke or just a publicity stunt but you can't deny this girls hustle, tenacity and just plain go get it drive.

Others may have deserved this a long time ago but she did it and will always have that under her belt!

Lesson folks, work hard. Never let what people think of you define your story. be passionate about your craft and just be DOPE!!!
