When Is It Time To Let Go and Get Better?
Ever put on a pair of pants that was to small. You get it past your ankles. Wiggle it up your knee. Stuff them thighs in. And when you finally get to your waist the zipper won’t go up and the button won't close. So, what next, you lay down flat on the bed, take a deep breath, loose that extra 1/2 inch and the pants closes. You take a sigh of relief, stand up and without further ado, the button pops off. At that point you realize you have 3 options.
- Get rid of your favorite jeans or...
- Take the necessary steps to get healthier and better to fit in those same jeans again or..
- Just keep wearing them and make sure you wear a long loose fitted shirt, that will cover the missing button and half-way pulled up zipper situation.
Which one will you choose?
This example goes to reference with a lot of issues, humps, circumstances or forks in the roads that we have in life especially relationships.
The guy you are with disrespects you in every way possible.
You job does not fulfill you and its just a means to an end.
Your friend always drags you down, never is supportive of you.
Your financial situation sucks.
You are so full of yourself that you have now alienated everyone in your life.
Your life is in shambles.
You have corns on your toes cause you keep wearing small shoes.
You're not happy with what you see in the mirror.
Or your jeans just do not fit.
Whatever is not right in your life right now, can always change because believe it or not you did not start out that way. But, it's for you to decide whether or not to make the best out the situation, ignore it and keep acting like it does not exist. Or, buck up, face whats going on, do not run from it, learn and take steps to change the outcome for the best of you.
